Fred Baldassare, Director
Thoughts on Dr. Fu
Dr. Fu has meant far more to me than the title sponsor of our team.
I have known Dr. Fu for more than 20 years and I considered him
a dear friend. I first met Dr. Fu at an event hosting Greg Lemond
during one of the Thrift Drug Classic races. During that meeting
and every single time since, I was always impressed by his
enthusiasm for life and genuine care for people. Freddie was known
widely as a brilliant doctor, however, he was much more than that,
he was a true humanitarian who was never too busy to care for people.
He made a real difference in the world and in my life. His example
taught me to be a better person and I will always cherish that.
Freddie was a once-in-a-life-time friend. I will always celebrate
his life and miss him terribly.
